Job summary

GFL Environmental is seeking an Industrial Fabricator in Byron Center, MI to fabricate finished goods using industrial cutting tools, machines, and PVC high-temperature air welders. Compensation ranges from $20-22/hr with full-time benefits.

Training is available and growth opportunities are emphasized. Responsibilities include reviewing blueprints, cutting PVC and fiberglass, operating tools and a forklift, and maintaining safety and accuracy in daily production.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Proficient ability to utilize hand tools and perform precise measurements with tape measure.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively alone.
• Strong basic math skills (adding and subtracting).
• Ability to lift materials up to 40 pounds throughout the day.
• Flexibility to work overtime as required by customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints and daily production plans provided by the Product Manager.
• Utilize rolls of purchased PVC and Fiberglass materials to fabricate into finished goods.
• Operate industrial cutting tools, machines, and PVC high-temperature air welders on a daily basis.
• Operate a forklift to move materials and finished products safely.
• Perform basic math calculations (adding and subtracting) for material measurements and production tracking.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

This role is responsible for fabricating finished goods using industrial cutting tools, machines, and PVC high-temperature air welders. Compensation range is $20-22/hr.
