Job summary

Intrepid Control Systems, based in Troy, Michigan, seeks a Manufacturing Technician to build and test advanced hardware for automotive engineers, including EV and cybersecurity applications.

You will perform functional tests, assemble final products, and conduct burn-in tests while documenting results and supporting continuous improvement with engineering and production teams.

Qualifications

• Functional testing of Ethernet ports, CAN/LIN interfaces, USB, LEDs, and other features using diagnostic tools.
• Final assembly of electronic products, installing PCBs into enclosures, attaching connectors, membranes, labeling, and prepping for testing.
• Burn-in testing with stress tests to validate hardware reliability and documenting results.
• Collaboration with production, engineering, and QA teams to support smooth workflow and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Functional testing of completed units: verify performance of Ethernet ports, CAN/LIN interfaces, USB, LEDs, and other features using diagnostic tools.
• Final Assembly of electronic products: install PCBs into enclosures, attach connectors, membranes, labeling, and prepare for testing.
• Burn‑in testing: execute stress tests to validate hardware reliability and log results; report defects.
• Collaboration: work with production, engineering, and QA to improve processes and product quality.

• Functional Testing of completed units: verifying performance of Ethernet ports, CAN/LIN interfaces, USB, LEDs, and other key features using diagnostic tools and software.
• Final Assembly of electronic products: installing printed circuit boards into protective enclosures, attaching connectors, membranes, labeling, and preparing for final testing.
• Burn‑in Testing: executing stress tests to validate hardware reliability and robustness. Documentation: logging test results, reporting defects, and providing feedback to engineering and production teams to improve product quality continuously.
• Collaboration: working with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to support smooth product flow and continuous improvement.

Skills

• Experience performing functional tests and burn‑in procedures on electronic hardware.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and test documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently follow established procedures.
