Job summary

Anheuser-Busch in Newburgh, NY is seeking a maintenance technician for a high-speed manufacturing environment. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment with a focus on safety, quality, teamwork and efficiency.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 3+ years of mechanical maintenance experience, including knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems. You will work rotating 12.25-hour shifts, with weekly pay and opportunities for process-improvement projects.

• Assist with process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean methodology including root cause analysis and process flow maps.
• Document and communicate maintenance and quality events using computer reporting systems.
• Cross-training opportunities available to maximize earnings and expand technical knowledge.

LOCATION

Metal Container Corporation in Newburgh, NY.

SALARY

• Sign-on bonus of $10,000!
• $27.54 - $35.71 per hour for the first 8 hours of a shift.
• $41.31 - $53.57 per hour for the next 4.25 hours at 1.5x base rate.
• Pay increases after completion of certifications and licenses. Ranging from $0.90-$2.45 per hour on base rate and $1.35-$3.68 at 1.5x rate up to the maximum hourly rate.
• Quarterly bonus eligible based on KPIs.
• Double time for working on a holiday + holiday pay (a regular day's pay). No shift differential for nights or weekends.
• Paid every week.

SHIFT

• 12.25-hour rotating shifts. This position requires working BOTH day and night shift throughout the entire year.
• Day shift: 5:45 AM – 6:00 PM
• Night shift: 5:45 PM – 6:00 AM
• Rotation: You will switch between days and nights every 6 weeks
• Work pattern: 3 days on, 3 days off (including weekends and holidays)
• A full calendar schedule is provided on your first day of employment.

• Adhere to plant safety and sanitation requirements; complete assigned work safely and efficiently per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
• Assist with process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean methodology including root cause analysis, process flow maps, etc.
• Clearly document and communicate maintenance and quality events using computer reporting systems
• Cross-training opportunities available to maximize your earnings and expand your technical knowledge

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Mechanical troubleshooting/maintenance experience required. Successful candidates typically have three or more years of experience in the below:
• Proficient knowledge of precision measurements and pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, ability to identify a problem and use analytical skills to identify the root cause and implement sustainable solutions
• Knowledge of safety policies and procedures required (e.g. lock out /tag out, confined space entry, etc.)
• High-speed manufacturing or packaging facility experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• The ability to work effectively in a team environment with people of varying skills and backgrounds
• Must be able to continuously stand, bend, and twist. Must be able to lift items up to 50 pounds
• Computer skills required
