Qualifications

• Excellent communication, planning, and analytical skills.
• Ability to set, monitor, and meet goals; manage multiple projects and teams.

Responsibilities

• Proactively lead a team and ensure service, cost, productivity, safety, and quality goals.
• Process owner for the assigned area within the plant.
• Provide direction, coaching, and counseling to production and maintenance staff.
• Plan, direct, and control daily production operations.
• Develop and revise SOPs and ensure compliance.
• Participate in improvement task forces for quality and safety.
• Manage budget and drive cost savings; champion cost control initiatives.
• Develop and manage a budget to meet KPIs and results.

SALARY

• $85,000-$100,000 annually, bonus eligible.
• Salaried overtime for shift coverage and holiday coverage.

SHIFT

• 12.5-hour rotating shifts. This position requires working BOTH day and night shift throughout the entire year.
• Day shift: 5:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• Night shift: 5:30 PM – 6:00 AM
• Rotation: You will switch between days and nights every 6 weeks
• Work pattern: 3 days on, 3 days off (including weekends and holidays)
• A full calendar schedule is provided on your first day of employment.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Area Manager oversees all facets of production during assigned shifts. They respond to needs of the department as well as business direction in completing the weekly production plan, while meeting internal safety and external quality expectations. They provide inspiring leadership to a team of workers, motivating them to work hard, and set the parameters for production quality and efficiency.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proactively lead a team and execute service, cost, productivity, health & safety/environment, and quality standards ensuring a productive work environment for all employees.
• Process owner for assigned area within the plant.
• Provide direction, coaching, and counseling to production and maintenance Team Members.
• Plan, direct, and control daily operations in a production facility.
• Develop and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance.
• Participation in task forces for improvement in quality, safety, efficiency, 5S, etc.
• Manage budget, drive cost savings, and champion cost control initiatives.
• Develop and manage a budget to meet goals and deliver results against challenging key performance indicators.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of certifications, training, and experience.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of manufacturing equipment and systems preferred.
• Management experience in manufacturing environment preferred
• Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, planning, analyzing, influencing and organization skills.
• Strong ability to set, monitor, drive and meet goals
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
• Willing to relocate now and in the future to one of our production facilities (preferred).
