Job summary

MACRO Industries, a leading aerospace and defense composites company, seeks a Manufacturing Technician at its Lenexa, KS site to perform hands-on production work to produce high-quality composite materials. The role requires following specs, drawings, work instructions, and quality standards with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities include setting up machinery, reading drawings, measuring and cutting materials, maintaining a clean area, and supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent mechanical background.
• Proficient with templates.
• Ability to operate multiple types of hand tools and precision measuring tools.
• Demonstrated ability to use a tile cutting saw.
• Ability to work well independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand company engineered drawings.
• Set up and operates production machinery, cutting equipment, saws and precision measuring tools.
• Prepare and ensure materials are used and handled appropriately.
• Measures, marks, and cuts materials with precision.
• Ensures finished product meets quality standards and specifications.
• Keeps track of supply inventory.
• Assist with packaging and labeling finished products as needed.
• Maintains clean and safe work area.
• Performs routine equipment checks and preventive maintenance ensuring cutting tools and machinery are in safe working condition.
• Assists in continuous improvement activities to enhance process efficiency and product quality.
• Provides assistance to other team members as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

MACRO Industries, a leading aerospace and defense composites company, is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for their Lenexa, KS location. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing hands on production activities in order to produce high quality composite materials in accordance with established specifications, drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow precise processes, and a commitment to producing consistent, high quality products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to read and understand company engineered drawings.
