This makes geothermal heating, cooling, and refrigeration the default option for commercial buildings everywhere, enabling a 24/7, available-anywhere energy source to scale for the first time. We've raised funding from top tier investors, are deploying rigs on live construction sites, and are scaling toward large projects. The next year is laser focused on building the team and refining the equipment and systems that will be deployed in real time, on real job sites.
Given the hands on nature of our work, this is an on site role at our Manchester office.
We are looking for a manufacturing technician to support assembly, test, qualification and deployment of our geothermal drilling system. This role requires someone who is equally comfortable in an engineering prototyping environment as they are supporting installations in the field. They will work closely with engineering and operations to build, maintain and operate our system.. They must be hands-on, adaptable, hard-working and a strong team player, with a bias towards action and an anything-to-get-the-job-done mentality.
Electromechanical assembly to include but not limited to mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and basic electrical
Build and redline engineering drawings and provide clear feedback to the design team
Be able to work from engineering documentation as well as work instructions
Maintenance on our custom drilling equipment
Assemble and test drill heads and drill string
Occasional support field and drilling teams when needed
Provide clear and concise feedback on possible design improvements and new features
Capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings, assembly instructions and schematics
Resourceful and highly collaborative team player who thinks creatively, has high attention to detail, and can work with a cross-functional team that is trying to move as quickly as possible
Comfortable with basic hand tools and electrical wiring
Experience with mechanical assembly processes, hydraulics, high pressure systems and electrical systems
3+ years of experience as an engineering technician, prototype technician, field service technician or similar role
Willingness and ability to occasionally support field and drilling operations
Excited to work in an early-stage startup that is deploying their first systems
