Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Winchester, KY for a contract-to-hire role. You will operate, adjust, and troubleshoot CNC machines, lathes, and mills to meet daily production goals, and set up machines for diverse production runs.

You’ll read blueprints, perform in-process inspections, and carry out TPM activities to keep equipment in top condition, while documenting production and inspection results per internal procedures.

Qualifications

  • Mechanically inclined with an interest in equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance practices is preferred.
  • Ability to support maintenance repairs under guidance from maintenance/engineering staff.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new equipment, processes, and technologies in manufacturing.

  • Clear jams and resolve minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor machine fluids and report abnormalities.
  • Assist in diagnosing mechanical issues with maintenance/engineering staff.

Manufacturing Technician
Responsibilities
  • Operate, adjust, and troubleshoot CNC machines, lathes, and mills to meet daily and long-term production goals.
  • Set up machines for various production runs, including configuring parameters and verifying correct operation before starting production.
  • Perform routine tooling changes and changeovers to support different parts and product lines.
  • Carry out calibrations and setups to ensure machines produce parts within required tolerances.
  • Conduct in-process inspections by measuring parts such as diameters, depths, and grooves to verify compliance with blueprints and specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate machining and inspection.
  • Monitor product quality throughout the production run and make necessary adjustments to maintain specification standards.
  • Perform routine Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities on equipment to keep machines in optimal working condition.
  • Clear jams and resolve minor mechanical issues to minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Monitor and maintain proper levels of machine fluids, including oil and coolant, and report any abnormalities.
  • Assist in diagnosing mechanical issues and collaborate with maintenance personnel on repairs when needed.
  • Use hand tools and mechanical skills to perform basic maintenance repairs and adjustments.
  • Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Document production and inspection activities as required by internal procedures.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winchester, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr.
