Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an experienced CNC Set-Up/Operator in Saint Louis, MO. The role requires setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes, reading blueprints, installing tooling, and preparing machines for production runs.

You should be comfortable making basic edits to programs, taking precise measurements with calipers and micrometers, and troubleshooting issues to maintain quality. This is a 6-month contract on 1st shift starting at 5:00 AM.

Qualifications

  • Experience as CNC Machinist, CNC Set-Up Technician, or CNC Operator.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machine setup and operation.
  • Experience with calipers, micrometers, and precision measurements.
  • Basic CNC programming or editing experience preferred.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work a 5:00 AM start schedule.

Responsibilities

We're seeking an experienced CNC Set-Up/Operator to support a busy manufacturing and foundry operation. This role is ideal for a hands‑on machinist who can confidently set up and operate CNC equipment while bringing enough programming knowledge to make basic edits and support continuous process improvements.

What You'll Do
  • Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and machining equipment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
