Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Manufacturing Technician - Assembler to join the Fitchburg, WI team on a contract-to-hire basis. You will build, test, and calibrate assemblies for final instruments, following detailed work instructions for mechanical, electrical, and optical components.

The role requires a High School Diploma and 1+ years in manufacturing, with proficiency in hand tools, soldering, inventory handling, and quality control. Onsite work, 7 am–3 pm, with comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and calibrate all levels of assemblies and install them in the final build of instruments that meet quality standards.

• Follow work instructions for mechanical, electrical, and optical assemblies, material handling, and inventory verification.

• Communicate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive team culture.

Essential Skills

• Experience in assembly and mechanical assembly.

• Proficiency with hand tools.

• 1+ years in a manufacturing or production environment.

• High School Diploma required.

• Experience in inventory tracking, material handling, soldering, and quality control.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Electronics assembly knowledge preferred but not required.

• Experience with pipette testing and fiber optic instruments.

• Ability to lift 50lbs occasionally, 25lbs frequently, and 10lbs constantly.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
