Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Technician 2 for the day shift in San Jose, CA. The role focuses on assembling and troubleshooting complex systems to ensure quality and efficiency in manufacturing processes.

We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Technician 2 to join our team on the day shift. This role involves assembling and troubleshooting complex systems, ensuring quality and efficiency in our manufacturing processes.
Demonstrate safe work practices including electrical safety, safe lifting techniques, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.
Follow work instructions to integrate subassemblies and components into the build of complex systems in preparation for functional testing.
Read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
Utilize precision measurement tools such as torque wrenches, DMMs, height standards, precision measurement tools, levels, and unique electronic data gathering tools as prescribed in work instructions.
Disassemble and pack systems in preparation for shipment and delivery to customers.
Write daily pass downs and store build data as directed.
Perform basic troubleshooting and assist Manufacturing Engineers to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
Identify improvement opportunities for safety, manufacturing processes, or 6S as they arise.
Other duties as assigned.
eAn Associates degree in technical engineering or experience in Technical Field Service is preferred.
Knowledge of hardware, software, and control systems.
Experience with manufacturing is preferred.
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is preferred.
Aptitude for identifying and resolving recurring problems.
Good interpersonal and communication skills to interface with assembly technicians, engineering, management, customers, sales, and marketing.
Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required.
This role requires physical ability to lift at least 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing. The work involves using standard hand tools and standard office equipment. The position operates in a manufacturing environment with a mixture of vacuum-based equipment, electrical, mechanical, and control boxes.
This is a Contract position based out of San Jose, CA.
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
