Responsibilities & Expectations:

• Prepare transformers for painting by sanding them with a dual action orbital sander.
• Wear and properly maintain safety equipment, including a respirator.
• Operate a forklift as needed (training provided).
• Scrape old stickers off transformers to prepare for painting.
• Tape off areas that do not require painting to ensure precision.
• Apply body filler and rust prevention products to damaged or worn surfaces.
• Perform stenciling on transformers as needed.

*This is an entry-level position which has the opportunity to learn and grow into other positions.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with sanding, body fillers, and rust prevention materials is a plus.
• Experience with forklift operation is a plus or willingness to be trained in forklift operation.
• Must be able to wear a respirator during work hours.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and equipment.
• Attention to detail for prep work.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently or as part of a team.
• Physical ability to handle tasks involving standing, bending, and lifting.
• Other duties as assigned.
