Job summary

Confidential plastics-focused manufacturing organization in the Phoenix area seeks a Plant Technical Manager to lead maintenance, reliability, and capital projects. You’ll drive process improvements, mentor technical teams, and partner with Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.

Ideal candidates have plastics packaging or injection molding experience, strong cross-functional leadership, and a hands-on engineering mindset to solve complex manufacturing

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive manufacturing experience with supervisory or management responsibility.
• Strong technical, engineering, maintenance, or manufacturing operations expertise.
• Experience leading technical and skilled-trades teams.
• Plastics packaging and/or injection molding experience is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical discipline preferred.

A leading manufacturing organization is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Plant Technical Manager to join its leadership team in the greater Phoenix area.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in plastics manufacturing, plastics packaging, and/or injection molding operations.

This is a highly visible plant leadership role responsible for maintenance, technical operations, equipment reliability, capital execution, and continuous improvement within a high-volume manufacturing environment.

The Plant Technical Manager will have a significant impact on the performance of the facility—leading technical teams and partnering closely with Operations and Quality to improve safety, equipment reliability, product quality, productivity, and overall manufacturing performance.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Approximately 8+ years of progressive manufacturing experience, including supervisory or management responsibility
• Strong technical, engineering, maintenance, or manufacturing operations expertise
• Demonstrated success leading and developing technical and skilled-trades teams
• Experience with capital projects, equipment reliability, process improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong engineering aptitude and hands-on problem-solving capability
• Ability to work effectively across multiple functions within a manufacturing organization
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical discipline preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered
• Plastics packaging and/or injection molding experience is highly desirable

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range is $128,400–$185,000, depending on experience and qualifications, plus an annual target bonus.
