Job summary

MiniMed is seeking a Manufacturing Technician I in Juncos, Puerto Rico. You will help fabricate, install, test and repair mechanical equipment used to produce life-changing diabetes devices.

The role supports engineers, performs QA tests, and assembles components for machinery while working a 5:30 PM–5:30 AM rotating shift. Fluency in Spanish and English and a HS diploma are required, with SAP/vision/PLC knowledge a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires 0 years of experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent (US) or technical certification.
• Associate/Bachelor degree in Electronic, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology or related is a nice-to-have.
• Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• SAP knowledge.
• Vision System basic knowledge.
• PLC basic knowledge.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Troubleshooting knowledge on electronic and mechanical components, equipment or systems.

Responsibilities

• Devise, fabricate, install, test and repair mechanical equipment and systems in the manufacturing area.
• Assist engineers with developing technical solutions for device operation and performance.
• Install, repair and upgrade components of mechanical devices and systems.
• Devise and assemble new or modified mechanical components for machinery.
• Conduct quality assurance and control tests and procedures.
