Job summary

Medial Group in Juncos, Puerto Rico, is seeking an engineer to design and optimize manufacturing processes for medical device production. The role focuses on layouts, operation sequences, and tooling specifications to improve efficiency and product quality. On-site, 3rd shift availability is required.

Requirements include 1–3 years in medical devices, problem solving and knowledge of Yellow/Green Belts, and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. The position is full-time and on-site at the plant.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of Engineering experience in the Medical Device industry.
• Problem Solving and Yellow or Greenbelt knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
• Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
• Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
• Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
• May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
• Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.

• Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
• Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques.
• Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
• Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

1 to 3 years of Engineering experience in the Medical Device industry.

Problem Solving and Yellow or Greenbelt knowledge.

Bachelor Degree in Engineering Completed.

Willing to work 3rd shift (Sunday to Thursday 9pm to 6am) 100% on-Site.
