Job summary

HORIBA Instruments Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Reno, NV to assemble, test, and verify mechanical and electro-mechanical components in a cleanroom setting.

The role involves using pressure, flow, calibration, and temperature instruments, and adhering to strict quality standards. You will read schematics/blueprints, perform verification and product flow tests, and handle labeling and packaging for shipment.

Qualifications

• Certificate or AS degree from a technical school or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of MS Windows and MS Office with emphasis on Excel.
• Ability to read and understand schematics/blueprints preferred.
• Knowledge of cleanroom protocol helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, configure, install, and test mechanical components and electro-mechanical components in a cleanroom environment.
• Utilize pressure, flow, calibration, and temperature instrumentation.
• Perform product flow testing of flow restrictors and record test data.
• Perform verification testing and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Visual inspect flow restrictor assemblies and incoming production material; collect samples as needed.
• Package and label flow restrictors for inventory and shipment; follow detailed assembly instructions under guidance of the manufacturing engineer.

Key Responsibilities include:

• In a cleanroom environment, assemble, configure, install, and test mechanical components and electro-mechanical components.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Knowledge of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems
• Knowledge of electrical and related mechanical principles, assembly applications and sequences
• General electrical assembly experience and knowledge of electrical and related mechanical principles
• Soldering skills
• Certificate or AS degree from a technical school or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of MS Windows and MS Office with emphasis on Excel
• Ability to read and understand schematics/blueprints preferred
• Knowledge of cleanroom protocol helpful but not required
