Job summary

HORIBA LAQUA EMEA in Reno, NV seeks a Machinist to set up and operate precision machine tools. You will fabricate, modify and repair mechanical instruments and mentor junior staff.

Our North American Semiconductor group is searching for a Machinist in Reno, NV.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.
• Fabricates, modifies, or repairs mechanical instruments.
• Provides feedback on best practices for manufacturability.
• Carry out maintenance on company owned machine shop.
• Provide mentoring to junior/less trained staff.

Required Skills And Knowledge

• Knowledge of advanced machining practices and the ability to determine safest machining procedures.
• Knowledge of CNC programming and electronic equipment.
• Be able to use various types of tools and equipment.
• Has a comprehensive understanding of machining standards and exotic materials.
• Able to read and understand manufacturing drawings.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive an automobile.
• Ability to work beyond normal workday or workweek.
• Able to travel.
