Job summary

Torani (R. Torre & Co.) is hiring for a Manufacturing Team Member - Sauce, 2nd Shift in San Leandro, CA. You will operate and monitor packaging line equipment, perform quality checks, and maintain safety and cleanliness on the Flavor Factory floor.

The role requires a team-oriented mindset, adherence to GMPs, and willingness to work a 1:00PM–9:30PM schedule with overtime as needed. Eligible for shift differential, capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, and you’ll contribute to our expanding production

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing and/or technical experience preferred
• Knowledge of safety procedures and GMPs preferred
• Experience with sauce production or dairy is a plus
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods

Responsibilities

• Set up workstation and operate packaging line equipment (case packers, shrink sleevers, cooling tunnels, palletizers)
• Perform quality checks and validations to meet KPI targets
• Maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic work environment following GMPs and allergen controls
• Communicate effectively to keep teammates informed and resolve issues quickly
• Be flexible and proactive to support continuous improvement and startup of production processes

Success Factors (First 12-24 Months)

• Product Perfectionist: Every day, you set up your workstation, review the production schedule for the day ahead using the HMI (Human Machine Interface), perform quality checks and validations and get to work! You confidently operate and monitor key packaging line equipment such as case packers, shrink sleevers, cooling tunnels, and palletizers to keep production running smoothly. Throughout each shift you make the team better by being a present, productive and considerate team member. Your openness to feedback and desire to improve means you help the team meet important KPI's and experience continual growth.
• Safety First: you've maintained a safe, hygienic work environment with zero safety incidents by consistently applying GMPs, allergen management, and sanitation standards. you've demonstrated care for your teammates' safety and reinforced safe practices at every step. Each day you perform quality line checks ensuring safe machinery and product for our customers. You safely and effectively operate machinery and equipment - always remembering to stay attentive to your task at hand. Your movement through the Flavor Factory demonstrates your acute awareness of your surroundings, ensuring your safety and the safety of fellow team members.
• Communication: Your intimate awareness of what and when communication should occur results in everyone being kept "in the loop" and ensures issues are resolved in a timely manner. As you are completing your tasks, you are keeping others on the line in the know so they can be prepared for what's next and keep the flow of work on track. Is there an issue? You quickly alert the right people to get support and make it right.
• Continuous Improvement and Sauce Startup: You demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and attention to detail and are comfortable keeping the pace with production. Your ability to learn quickly, execute tasks with high accuracy, and willingness to roll up your sleeves to pitch in as needed results in great operational efficiency and quality work.

What You'll Bring:

• Previous manufacturing and/or technical experience including knowledge of safety procedures and good manufacturing practices preferred
• Prior experience with sauce production and/or dairy preferred
• Experience using forklift and/or pallet preferred
• Able to safely work around food products, which may include common allergens such as dairy
• M-F, 2 nd Shift, 1:00PM - 9:30PM, plus overtime as needed
• Eligible for $1.00 shift differential
• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Stand, walk, bend, twist for up to 8 hours

Work Location:

San Leandro, 5 days on site at Toraniland: Flavor Factory.

Payrate:

$24.10/ hour
