Job summary

Neogen is seeking a Team Leader – Manufacturing to coordinate daily operations at our Lansing, MI site. You will assign deliverables, monitor progress, and ensure timely execution of production targets as a hands-on operator and team lead.

The role requires 3–5 years in manufacturing with supervisory experience and familiarity with cGMP/ISO standards. Onsite work and a night shift schedule support continuous production flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years in manufacturing or machine operation.
• Experience in label manufacturing is a strong advantage.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Familiarity with cGMP and ISO standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in the execution of daily production tasks.
• Operate and support key manufacturing equipment, including web coding, lamination, sledding, and web converting machinery.
• Serve as a hands-on operator while also supervising and coordinating team efforts.
• Liaise between Manufacturing Manager and machine operators to ensure clear communication.
• Schedule team activities in line with production planning requirements.
• Supervise and support team members in day-to-day operations.
• Step in for Supervisor or Manager during absences or off-hours.
• Provide backup coverage for team members when required.
• Assemble product components to meet quality and production targets.
• Monitor and report on production performance and team metrics.
• Identify training needs and provide coaching and upskilling opportunities.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements.

Team Leader – Manufacturing

Schedule: (Night Shift: 4x12, Mon - Thurs, 6:00pm - 6:30 am)

The Team Leader will coordinate daily operations and production activities within their assigned area. This includes assigning deliverables, tracking progress, and contributing as a hands-on operator. The role will act as the key liaison between the Manufacturing Manager and machine operators, ensuring clear communication and seamless execution of production targets.

This position is based onsite in Lansing, MI.
