Blue Signal Search is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Integration Engineer to join our client’s team onsite in Wisconsin. The role requires connecting machines, controls, and plant data across a multi-site network to boost visibility, reliability, and performance.

The candidate will work across automation, OT infrastructure, and project execution with a focus on growth into broader manufacturing technology leadership.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in manufacturing systems, automation, OT, controls integration, or industrial networks.
  • Experience with connecting machines, controls, and plant data to improve visibility and performance.
  • Familiarity with smart manufacturing concepts and IT/OT convergence.
  • Hands-on experience with commissioning, FAT/SAT, and issue resolution for automation deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Support integration of operational technologies and business systems to improve data accessibility and process efficiency.
  • Build and support OT architectures enabling reliable equipment connectivity and data flow.
  • Lead commissioning activities, startup support, FAT, SAT, and issue resolution for new automation deployments.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and external integrators to define requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Use protocols like EtherNet/IP, Profinet, OPC UA, MQTT, and Modbus to connect equipment and systems.
  • Create dashboards and reporting tools to turn production data into actionable insights.
  • Contribute to digital manufacturing initiatives tied to predictive maintenance and process optimization.
  • Assist with connectivity, system performance, and efficiency across manufacturing environments.
  • Help standardize technical approaches to improve maintainability and long-term system performance.

Manufacturing Systems Integration Engineer
Location: Onsite in Green Bay, WI or Menasha, WI
Travel: Up to 25% domestic travel
