Job summary

Trane Technologies in La Crosse, WI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production, implement sustainable processes, and drive quality and safety improvements.

You will work with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing challenges, design layouts, and automate MES workflows while upholding standards. PFMEA participation and data-driven problem solving are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

  • PFMEA experience preferred.
  • Ability to assess manufacturing issues related to process and design.
  • Degree preferred in Engineering or related technical disciplines.
  • Candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems, including investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning.
  • Create cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools to improve manufacturing operations.
  • Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls that optimize efficiency, operating costs, and product quality.
  • Uphold manufacturing standards including machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings, and cycle times.
  • Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source meets product and manufacturing specifications given local needs.
  • Serve as a voice of the customer for input for new design development.
  • Partner with on-site EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) to ensure all equipment meets safety regulations compliant with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).
  • Work with factory staff and manufacturing engineers to configure the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) as manufacturing processes and products change.
  • Troubleshoot technical and configuration issues with MES, and train personnel on use of the system.
  • Translate internal and external customer requirements into MES functional development requests, and then test those developments.

Join Trane Technologies as a Manufacturing Engineer in La Crosse, WI!
