Job summary

Trane Technologies in La Crosse, WI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a weekend shift (Fri-Sun 6am-6pm and occasional Mondays 9am-1pm). You will operate innovative engineered systems and develop, coordinate, and implement sustainable production processes to improve quality, safety and efficiency.

You will work with cross-functional teams to resolve process and design issues, create safe manufacturing methods, and align with OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• PFMEA experience is preferred.
• Ability to assess manufacturing issues related to process and design.
• Excellent communication across levels and relationship-building.
• Willingness to grow technical skills.
• Focus on accountability and customer needs.
• Engineering or related technical discipline preferred.
• Candidates without a 4-year degree encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems, including investigations and corrective actions.
• Create cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools.
• Design manufacturing flow lines, layouts, and controls to improve efficiency and quality.
• Uphold manufacturing standards including maps, setups, quality controls, and routings.
• Generate work instructions and standardized work to ensure quality at the source.
• Serve as a voice of the customer for input on new design development.
• Collaborate with on-site EHS to ensure OSHA-compliant safety of equipment.

Join Trane Technologies as a Manufacturing Engineer in La Crosse, WI for our weekend shift (Fri-Sun 6am-6pm and occasional Mondays 9-1pm). In this role, you will operate innovative engineered systems and develop, coordinate, and implement sustainable manufacturing production processes. Your cross-functional team will be focused on delivering quality, safety, and operational efficiency improvements.

What You Will Do

• Provide timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems, including investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning.
• Create cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools to improve manufacturing operations.
• Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls that optimize efficiency, operating costs, and product quality.
• Uphold manufacturing standards including machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings, and cycle times.
• Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source meets product and manufacturing specifications given local needs.
• Serve as a voice of the customer for input for new design development.
• Partner with on-site EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) to ensure all equipment meets safety regulations compliant with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).

What You Will Bring

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• PFMEA experience preferred.
• Ability to accurately assess manufacturing issues related to process and design.
• Effective communication at multiple levels coupled with ability to build relationships.

• Results-driven to maintain accountability and customer-focus.
• Degree preferred in Engineering or related technical disciplines.
