Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to assist in installation, qualification and ongoing optimization of systems on the manufacturing floor. You will troubleshoot day-to-day issues, implement improvements to throughput and yield, and support equipment responsibilities in material handling.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
• Solve day-to-day production and equipment problems.
• Identify yield and product performance improvements.
• Set up and maintain gauges and controls.
• Respond to process alarms and bring processes back to control.
• Execute planned experiments and analyze results.
• Provide training to production staff.
• Develop internal documentation and procedures.
• Interface with internal and supplier teams on projects.
• Maintain understanding of area processes and support systems.
• Communicate effectively with production and engineering teams.
• Manage inventory for AGV operations and related tasks.
