General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a Business Analyst to join the System Engineering team, supporting requirements analysis, business process understanding, and the functional integration of new or upgraded software applications that enable manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate is a systems thinker who can translate operational needs into clear requirements for software developers, interfacing with Operations, Material Logistics, Quality Assurance, and Design & Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or Computer Science.
• 4+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or IT roles supporting manufacturing, engineering, or operations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, learn, and document business processes and the software systems supporting them.
• Lead requirements gathering efforts to translate business needs into functional system requirements.
• Serve as a business process SME, ensuring requirements accurately reflect operational workflows and goals.
• Perform root-cause analysis on issues by examining data, user workflows, and system behavior.
• Collaborate with software development teams to support implementation of new capabilities and enhancements.
• Create and maintain process maps, data flow diagrams, and functional documentation.
• Support verification and validation activities by confirming that delivered functionality meets business needs.
• Provide functional support during highly visible or critical production issues.
• Drive cross-functional alignment and challenge inefficient or outdated workflows.
