Job summary

Brooks Automation US LLC in Fremont, CA is seeking a Manufacturing System Technician for a first shift contract role. The position involves onsite work performing manufacturing operations, calibration support, testing, data collection, and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Proficient in using sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with engineers and other team members.
  • Ability to follow established procedures, processes, or policies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manufacturing operations related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final system assemblies.
  • Work with engineers in set‑up and calibration tasks.
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting related to the manufacturing process.
  • Use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on‑line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.
  • Determine or assist in developing methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings, and/or diagrams to control or modify the manufacturing process.
  • Assist engineers in conducting experiments.
  • Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
  • Provide guidance to other non‑exempt personnel and may lead or supervise activities within a team lead function.
  • Follow established procedures, processes, or policies.
  • Resolve problems with assistance from peers or supervisor depending on the level and complexity.

What You’ll Do
