RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Quality Specialist to lead rapid resolution of supplier issues and perform root-cause analysis on nonconforming materials. You will interact with cross-functional teams and suppliers to implement corrective actions and containment strategies on complex hardware problems.

The role requires a STEM degree and experience with quality processes, with on-site work in a security-sensitive environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and two years of experience in related Quality, Operations, Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action processes.
• Experience with hardware inspection techniques and interpreting engineering drawings.

What You Will Do

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and two (2) years of experience in related Quality, Operations, Engineering or related technical discipline
• Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action processes
• Experience with hardware inspection techniques and interpreting engineering drawings
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Existing DoD Secret Clearance
• Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management System
• Proven success in building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal teams
• High computer proficiency, including skills working with SAP/ PRISM and Microsoft Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Six Sigma, Lean and / or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification (CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE, etc.)
• Experience in DoD product and process oversight including requirements, build, integration, test and delivery

This position is an on-site position located at our Tucson, AZ facility and we are not providing relocation assistance.

Onsite

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
