Job Description

Are you a dynamic and results-oriented individual with a passion for driving operational excellence within a manufacturing environment? We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Supervisor to join our Columbia team and play a pivotal role in achieving production schedules aligned with cost, quality, and lead time objectives.

The primary work schedule involves 2nd shift, Mon - Thu 3:15pm-1:45am. This position may require working some Fridays & Saturdays depending on overtime needs.

What will you do?
  1. Production Schedule Achievement: Ensure successful attainment of production schedules while maintaining focus on cost efficiency, quality standards, and lead time targets.
  2. Team Training: Organize and address training needs of teams to enhance skills and knowledge, supervising and guiding 20-30 production associates.
  3. Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve industrial processes, driving efficiencies and improvements.
  4. People Management: Manage goals, competencies, recognition, engagement, time-keeping, performance, and disciplinary actions.
  5. Safety Focus: Promote a safety-first attitude, ensuring a secure and compliant work environment.
  6. Group Performance Ownership: Be responsible for achieving group performance goals and guiding your team towards success.

Reporting Line: You will report to the Manufacturing Manager.

What qualifications will make you successful?
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required; equivalent experience and skills are acceptable.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and systems.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Supervisory experience in manufacturing is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
