GENERAL SUMMARY:

Established company with a significant share of the U.S. market in manufacturing, located in southwest suburban Atlanta, offering opportunities for either a Manufacturing Supervisor – Plating or a Manufacturing Manager – Plating. The role oversees the daily functions of the plating department, focusing on safety, production, and quality. It involves production planning and scheduling, supervising 12 staff members. This day shift position features 10-hour days Monday through Thursday, with some hours on Friday, though hours may vary. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate daily scheduling and utilize personnel effectively.
  • Maintain controls over the plating chemical process.
  • Implement corrective actions for process optimization.
  • Supervise activities related to electroplating, rack stripping, finishing, and inspection of finished products.
  • Apply knowledge of production plating processes and procedures.
  • Oversee corrective actions in plating processes.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects.
  • Support quality system requirements.
  • Ensure personnel are trained and provided with necessary work instructions and tools.
  • Oversee preventative and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Train lab personnel in current analytical techniques and procedures.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in a chemical-related field; less may be considered.
  • Minimum 2 years of plating-related supervisory experience in manufacturing for Supervisor role.
  • Minimum 2 years of managerial experience in plating within manufacturing for Manager role.
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, and instructions.
  • Basic math skills for measurements, with calculator aid.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, communicate, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
