Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a manufacturing company in Lino Lakes, MN to hire a Manufacturing Supervisor. You will oversee daily shop floor operations, lead a team of 50–80 production employees, and ensure production, quality, safety and on-time delivery.

This hands-on leadership role requires a strong CNC machining background, with the ability to develop teams, resolve production challenges, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in manufacturing or machining, with 5+ years in leadership.
• Strong CNC machining knowledge, tooling, workflows, and process optimization.
• Experience with CNC programming and CAD/CAM is preferred.
• Leadership, communication, and proactive problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily factory operations to meet production goals and schedules.
• Lead and develop a team of 50–80 CNC machinists and operators.
• Identify bottlenecks, improve flow, and resolve scheduling issues.
• Collaborate with Planning/Scheduling, Quality, Engineering and others.
• Ensure safety, SOPs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Schedule: Full-time | Minimum 45 hours per week | Flexibility required to support 1st and 2nd shifts, with occasional weekends

In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee daily shop floor operations, lead a team of 50–80 production employees, and help ensure production, quality, safety, and on-time delivery goals are achieved. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing leader with a strong CNC machining background who enjoys developing teams, solving production challenges, and driving continuous improvement.

What You'll Do as a Manufacturing Supervisor

• Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing operations to achieve production goals, optimize capacity, and maintain on-time delivery
• Lead, train, coach, and mentor a team of 50–80 CNC machinists, operators, and production support employees
• Monitor work-in-progress (WIP), identify bottlenecks and capacity constraints, and proactively resolve production and scheduling issues
• Partner with Planning/Scheduling, Commercial, Quality, Engineering, Department Leads, CNC Programmers, and Operators to align production priorities with customer commitments
• Ensure machining processes, SOPs, quality requirements, company policies, and safety procedures are consistently followed
• Support machining process improvements, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, tooling, workholding, and fixture readiness
• Track production metrics and lead Lean Manufacturing, 5S, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives

What You Need to Bring to the Manufacturing Supervisor Role

• 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing or machining environment, including 5+ years in a leadership role
• Strong technical knowledge of CNC machining, tooling, production workflows, and process optimization
• Working knowledge of CNC programming, G-code, and CAD/CAM software is preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on management style
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment requiring PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes, and gloves
