Kennametal Inc. in Roanoke Rapids, NC is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for the 3rd shift (9:00 PM–6:00 AM, 5 nights/wk). You will oversee daily operations, ensure safety compliance, and drive productivity on the manufacturing floor.

Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential, with a focus on meeting delivery goals and quality standards. The role requires hands-on supervision, coordination with multiple teams, and experience in lean manufacturing and MRP processes.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with 3+ years manufacturing experience or technical training with supervision experience.
• 2+ years formal technical training beyond high school and 3-5 years of people supervision.
• Basic knowledge of environmental, health and safety issues.

Responsibilities

• Understand and acknowledge day to day responsibilities for environmental, health and safety.
• Routinely conduct safety audits and develop action plans.
• Plan and direct daily activities within the department, via group leaders.
• Manage order-processing flow to achieve on-time delivery and lead-time goals.
• Identify maintenance issues and ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Review productivity and efficiency, and focus on year-over-year improvements.
• Prepare and submit monthly update reports to the department manager.
• Participate in internal ISO audits and address corrective actions.
