Job summary

Clarios in Saint Joseph, MO is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to ensure production needs are met while maintaining staffing, positive employee relations, and a safe, clean work environment. You will plan, direct, coordinate, and control manufacturing activities in your area to achieve goals.

Responsibilities include training staff, maintaining relations, coordinating staffing, coaching teams, and enforcing safety and maintenance standards to drive performance at the St. Joseph assembly plant.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work any assigned shift and overtime.
• Ability to support production requirements, employee relations, safety expectations, and manufacturing goals.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field preferred.
• 1+ year of prior supervisory or management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train production personnel to perform work assignments safely and efficiently.
• Maintain positive employee relations through coaching and consistent application of policies.
• Coordinate staffing and operating personnel to meet production goals.
• Facilitate team operations and provide ongoing coaching aligned with plant goals.
• Administer production salary and wage policies for operating personnel.
• Enforce health, environmental, safety, work practice, and housekeeping standards.
• Coordinate proper maintenance of machines and equipment.
• Monitor and report production indicators such as scrap and output per hour.
• Investigate material variances, report findings, and recommend improvements.

What you will do

The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for ensuring production requirements are met while maintaining appropriate staffing levels, positive employee relations, and a safe and clean work environment. You will plan, direct, coordinate, and control manufacturing activities within your assigned area to achieve established operational and management goals.

• Administer and enforce health, environmental, safety, work practice, and housekeeping standards and procedures.
• Coordinate proper maintenance of machines and equipment.
• Monitor and report production indicators, which may include scrap, batteries per person/hour, and batteries per measured hour.
• Investigate material variances, report findings, and recommend improvements.
