Cleaver-Brooks is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team in Lincoln, NE. The supervisor will oversee production employees across manufacturing departments, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. The role may involve 1st or 2nd shift hours, depending on operational needs.

Job Location: Lincoln, NE
Shift: Second Shift (3:30 PM to 12:00 AM)
Essential Functions:
- Adhere to safety policies and promote a safe work environment.
- Manage department operations effectively, adapting to changing conditions.
- Lead and motivate employees to achieve results, using strong communication and team-building skills.
- Possess relevant manufacturing and welding knowledge.
- Make decisions, solve problems, and interpret policies as needed.
- Interface effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee procurement of tools and equipment for the shop floor.
- Supervise up to 30 employees, managing personnel activities such as attendance, performance reviews, and scheduling.
- Maintain communication with supervisors regarding department developments.
- Work in a manufacturing environment involving welding, machining, and fabrication.
- Utilize management skills to ensure efficient, cost-effective project completion.
- Support company policies and participate in internal and external projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED; associate’s degree or some college preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of five years supervisory experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or welding environments.
- Ability to interpret drawings and schematics.
- Strong employee relations, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP experience a plus.
- Familiarity with ASME code welding and boiler design is advantageous.
- Understanding of quality control systems is beneficial.
Physical Skills & Effort:
- Require rapid hand movements and extensive standing/walking.
- Work hours include 50-60+ hours per week, including some weekends.
Working Conditions & Hazards:
- Normal plant and shop conditions with occasional minor hazards.
