Job summary

Land O'Lakes, Inc. in Dodge City, KS, seeks a 1st Shift Manufacturing Supervisor to lead production operations including shipping, receiving, formulation, and packaging.

You will provide leadership to production staff and coordinate people, materials, equipment to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. The role emphasizes safety, process improvements, and collaboration with plant leadership to resolve issues and support business planning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience in chemical, agricultural, or manufacturing production, including at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
• Working knowledge of formulation, packaging, shipping/receiving, inventory control, quality assurance, and lot traceability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word, with strong reporting, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Forklift certification at hire or ability to obtain certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and hold employees accountable across shipping and receiving, formulation, and packaging operations.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and process safety requirements.
• Direct production activities and coordinate labor, materials, inventory, and equipment to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Ensure manufacturing processes, documentation, and finished products meet company standards, customer requirements, and applicable quality procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement in operational performance, including throughput, capacity, inventory yield, cost, and employee engagement.
• Partner with plant leadership and technical resources to resolve operational issues, implement new products and processes, and support production and business planning.
• Maintain effective production reporting and customer communication while providing hands-on operational support as business needs require.
• Serve as a backup to the Plant Manager and support broader plant activities as needed.
