Elanco is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for the Night Shift in Downstream Bioprocessing at the Elwood site. You will lead daily operations, ensure safety and quality, and drive continuous improvement in monoclonal antibody manufacturing. Collaboration with QA, Engineering, and Maintenance is essential.

The role emphasizes leadership, regulatory compliance, and hands-on floor presence to maintain schedule adherence and batch record integrity in a 12-hour night rotation.

• Education: Highschool diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 3+ years in a regulated, commercial manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to wear gowning and PPE in manufacturing areas.

• Lead and oversee daily manufacturing operations for downstream bioprocessing, including buffer formulation and chromatography.
• Coach and develop manufacturing personnel with performance management and training.
• Ensure compliance with USDA, EMA, and cGMP requirements and batch records.
• Maintain safe practices and drive continuous improvement on the production floor.
• Coordinate with QA, Engineering and Maintenance to support compliant operations.
• Monitor performance, equipment readiness, batch records, and SAP transactions.
• Lead investigations and CAPAs for deviations and process issues.

This role oversees production activities across downstream bioprocessing operations, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). The supervisor also plays a key role in developing team members, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.**Your Responsibilities:*** Lead and oversee daily manufacturing operations supporting downstream bioprocessing activities, including buffer formulation, cell clarification, protein A chromatography, and Tangential Flow Filtration, while partnering with upstream and fill/finish and ensuring adherence to production schedules.* Supervise, coach, and develop manufacturing personnel through performance management, training, and regular feedback to build a high-performing, engaged team.* Ensure manufacturing activities are performed in compliance with USDA, EMA, and cGMP requirements, approved procedures, and batch production records.* Maintain a strong presence on the production floor to promote safe work practices, operational excellence, and a culture of quality and accountability.* Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Validation, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to support compliant and efficient manufacturing operations.* Monitor production performance, equipment readiness, and schedule adherence while ensuring timely completion of batch records, SAP transactions, and manufacturing documentation.* Lead or support investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for operational events, deviations, and equipment or process issues.* Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance manufacturing efficiency, strengthen compliance, and improve overall operational performance.**What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):*** **Education**: Highschool diploma or equivalent* **Experience**: 3+ years experience in a regulated, commercial manufacturing environment.* Must be able to wear appropriate gowning and personal protective equipment in manufacturing and support areas.**What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):*** Bachelor's degree in biomanufacturing related field* Biomanufacturing experience* Monoclonal antibody manufacturing* Understanding of USDA, FDA, EU GMP, cGMP regulatory standards* Operational excellence, lean manufacturing, six sigma, TPS experience* Demonstrated success in leadership* Experience with SAP, OSI PI, VEEVA**Additional Information:*** Travel: minimal 0-5%* Location: Elwood, KS* This role is a night shift 5p-5a 12 hour, 2 week rotation.
