Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. in Wilmington, MA, is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead COP production teams on the factory floor, drive safety, quality, and productivity goals, and implement lean initiatives.

You will supervise a team, train staff, monitor KPIs, and ensure adherence to procedures, while using MES and visual factory tools to optimize workflow and maintain high morale in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or high school diploma with minimum 3 years semiconductor manufacturing experience.
  • Willing to learn, strong continuous improvement and collaborative mindset.
  • Able to spend 75%+ of daily time on the factory floor to run production tools.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise and support a team of Manufacturing COP employees to meet metrics for safety, quality, output, and cycle time.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and training to COP team members for monitoring KPIs and meeting staffing targets and productivity standards.
  • Using visual factory and MES to track and set priorities; promote lean principles.

The Manufacturing Supervisor will be a key team member in leading and implementing changes to meet aggressive employee training, process improvement and productivity goals. The Manufacturing Supervisor oversees all production related activities in our Wilmington manufacturing facility. The position reports to Operations Management and is responsible for quality of work, prioritization of work, communication, and completion of goals as determined with Operations Management and Planning.

Responsibilities
  • Directly supervise and support a team of Manufacturing COP employees to meet functional area goals for metrics such as safety, quality, output, and cycle time.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and training to COP team members for monitoring key performance indicators to goals, ensuring staffing targets and productivity standards are met.
  • Solve routine problems to meet performance goals and determine when to stop a process if risks to product quality or safety occurs.
  • Communicate critical information to manufacturing team regarding factory and program status.
  • Using visual factory and MES (Manufacturing Execution System) to track and set priorities.
  • Promote a positive and collaborative teamwork environment utilizing lean principles.
  • Focus on engaging the workforce on continuous improvement with the philosophy of “improving the job is the job”.
  • Treat all employees, customers, suppliers and co-workers with dignity and respect.
  • Embrace diversity and address unconscious bias in the workplace.
Requirements
  • Associates degree or high school diploma with a minimum of 3 years semiconductor manufacturing experience.
  • Willing to learn and possess a strong continuous improvement and collaborative mindset.

  • Willing to train others.
  • Able to spend a minimum of 75% of daily work time on factory floor to help run production tools, 100% if backing up an absent Group Lead.
  • Able to perform basic Operations Management tasks and responsibilities when required.
  • Able to create a collaborative environment by motivating and encouraging positive morale and teamwork, leading by example.
WORK SCHEDULE
  • 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM
  • Alt. Wednesdays + Thursday, Friday, Saturday

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $72,000 to $99,000. Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors. This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors. This position includes medical, vision and dental coverage, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time, and other benefits.
