Job summary

Western Partitions, Inc. (WPI) seeks an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to lead a team assembling structural frames for data centers. You will supervise daily activities, ensure quality and on-time delivery, and provide hands-on support in assembly.

The role requires strong carpentry and mechanical assembly skills, plus the ability to read blueprints and operate MES software. You will maintain safety standards and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading manufacturing or construction teams (foreman/lead).
  • Strong background in mechanical assembly and/or carpentry.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Manufacturing Supervisor to lead and oversee a team of assemblers in the production of structural component frames for data centers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and mechanical assembly, excellent leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of assembly procedures, quality standards, safety standards, and production output needs. This role requires hands‑on involvement in daily operations, coordination of team activities, and a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the assembly team.
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure assemblies meet production timeline and quality expectations.
  • Provide hands‑on support in assembling components as needed.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings and ensure team compliance with drawings, specifications, and procedures.
  • Create assembly station work instruction.
  • Train new employees on proper assembly techniques, tool usage, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Inspect work performed by team members to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control checklists.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment; ensure tools and materials are used and stored properly.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and other departments to coordinate workflow.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Promote and enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or construction leadership role, preferably as a foreman or team lead.
  • Strong background in mechanical assembly and/or carpentry.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality‑focused mindset.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials as needed.
  • Ability to foster a team‑oriented environment and motivate team members.
  • Ability to use technology such as a tablet, laptop, and navigate MES (Manufacturing Execution System) software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in leading production work which utilizes forklifts and overhead lifting.
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures and manufacturing best practices.
  • OSHA or other safety certifications.
Work Environment
  • Hands‑on leadership role in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting.
  • Involves standing, lifting, bending, and working with tools and materials for extended periods.
  • Requires wearing personal protective equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
