A leading manufacturing company is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee second shift operations. The role involves ensuring compliance with guidelines, monitoring production quality, and facilitating communication between management and employees. Ideal candidates will have supervisory experience in manufacturing, and a high school diploma or GED. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

The Tufting Supervisor will continually monitor the shift operations and ensure compliance with all company, plant and departmental guidelines and procedures on second shift at Plant WD.
Responsibilities:
Act as liaison between Department Manager and employees by providing an effective line of communication within the department.
Responsible for the execution of SMS Procedures
Monitor all departmental production, production quality, processes and procedures and ensure that departmental S.M.S. procedures and instructions are continually followed by all employees.
Ensure that department machinery and equipment is well maintained and repaired when needed.
Line up crews before shift start-up.
Support and follow Environmental procedures and programs.
Assist Scheduling and Department Management in the production planning process for the department to include ordering yarn and setting up departmental and plant test procedures prior to running mixed lots as needed.
Complete the appropriate paperwork needed to effectively monitor and record departmental productivity, quality and performance.
Attend and/or conduct periodic departmental meetings.
When the need arises, perform or delegate the performance of any of the various jobs or procedures within the department while referring to the appropriate S.M.S. Instructional and Procedural documentation.
Assist employees in resolving any job-related problems or concerns.
Actively participate in P.R.I.D.E. process either through involvement in a P.R.I.D.E. subcommittee or through creating employee P.R.I.D.E. awareness or both.
Responsible for correct merge of new merge yarn lots.
Assigns Fixer to Tufting Machines for blade changes.
When informed of non-conforming, poorly running yarn, move personnel appropriately to minimize the efficiency and quality effect of the yarn.
Higher focus on High Claim styles and machines when patrolling.
Document Quality Walks on google form.
Place rolls on hold as needed.
Monitor all parts of the department including both creel and beam machines.
Ability to work evening shift (2nd)
Qualifications:
High School diploma / GED
Experience as a trained relief supervisor or supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in carpet manufacturing
Ability to identify carpet defects
