Tarkett is seeking an experienced and strategic Yarn Production Supervisor to join our growing team in our Dalton Manufacturing Plant. In this key position, he or she will effectively lead associates to ensure satisfaction of customer expectations, safety, and production requirements while executing the Tarkett strategy and embracing Tarkett’s vision, mission, and objectives. The Supervisor will proactively lead, support, train, coach, and direct his or her assigned work team to execute operational plans. This role will drive continuous improvement through World Class Manufacturing (WCM) while maintaining effective associate relationships. The Production Supervisor will also maintain records, reports, and data collection in a timely and complete manner.

Responsibilities include:

• Driving daily schedule attainment and effectively allocating resources
• Defining problems, collecting qualitative and quantitative data to establish facts, and taking decisive action
• Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting performance daily using Shop Floor Management Tools from WCM
• Owning shift and performance reporting management
• Evaluating and coordinating training needs and initiatives to promote continuous improvement
• Collaborating with Engineering and Maintenance to improve and document production processes and equipment operation
• Providing coaching and guidance, and executing documentation within the corrective action process
• Improving record procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness and ISO compliance
• Understanding and communicating compliance issues related to company guidelines
• Participating in projects and process improvements to drive change and results
• Leading issues resolution across the plant with a hands-on approach
• Coaching, developing, and training employees

Experience & Education:

• Bi-lingual in Spanish required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, ADP/SAP is a plus
• Ability to analyze and interpret product specifications, schedules, quality documentation, and other performance data in English
• Effective communication skills for presenting information and interacting with employees, managers, and peers
• Experience with quality frameworks such as ISO9001, ISO14000, ISO18000
• Experience with lean manufacturing and Visual Shop Floor Management, handling multiple tasks simultaneously
