Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a Superintendent for the Recold Plant in Brea, CA. You will lead a manufacturing team, oversee production, and drive continuous improvement with safety as a priority. The role requires supervising a unionized workforce, managing training, and aligning with quality and delivery goals.

You will collaborate with planning, logistics, and HR to optimize operations, control costs, and maintain a safe, efficient facility in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of supervisory/ management experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with highly engineered, customized products.
• Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a manufacturing team and oversee daily production operations.
• Drive continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Ensure on-time delivery, quality control, and safe working conditions.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate staff; manage performance.
• Collaborate with planning, logistics, and quality teams to optimize production.
• Monitor budgets, labor goals, and inventory accuracy.
