Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is collaborating with Walker, MI-based manufacturing firms to place skilled Staff Accountants. You will reconcile GL accounts, post journal entries, and support month-end close while ensuring accurate coding and timely financial reporting.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 2+ years in a Staff Accountant role, ERP proficiency (SAP/Oracle) and strong GAAP knowledge. Prior inventory costing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2+ years of experience in a Staff Accountant role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
• Experience with inventory accounting and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and various balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper coding.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures, including preparing supporting schedules.
• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely vendor payments.
• Maintain fixed asset records, including depreciation calculations and tracking.
• Support inventory management through cycle counts and variance analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
