Job summary

NYCOA in Manchester, NH is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to own key parts of month‑end close, cost accounting, and financial reporting while aiding the transition to a new ERP system. The role collaborates with the Controller and production teams to deliver accurate financial insights for a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing.
• Strong cost accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting experience.
• Hands‑on ERP or accounting system experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete monthly financial closings, prepare financial statements, and perform reconciliations.
• Maintain cost accounting information, monitor variances with production teams.
• Support daily accounting operations including billing, AR, AP, GL, and treasury.
• Analyze financial results, identify trends, and support cash forecasting and analyses.
• Help lead ERP transition and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate audits and tax filing prep with outside CPAs and manage reporting.
• Maintain policies, procedures, controls, and assist budgeting with department heads.
• Provide support across general accounting, credit/collections, and payroll as needed.
