Job summary

American Fence Company, Inc. in Phoenix is seeking an End Table Operator to support tube and pipe manufacturing. You will inspect equipment, adjust the bundling cart, and assist with guiding pipes along the end-table to the cart.

The role requires 1+ year of manufacturing experience, a GED, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen; a valid driver’s license is also needed. This position offers competitive pay and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Valid driver's license issued in the employing state and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Inspect table operation equipment and prepare for use.
• Adjust the bundling cart to accommodate the size and length of pipe to be run.
• Manually assist the pipe as it rolls down the end-table towards the cart.
• Observe for bows in longer length pipe and bounce pipe on table if necessary to straighten the pipe.
• As bundle is being formed, align and straighten the tube rows using the back stop.
• After bundle is completed in the rack, place bands around the bundle and tighten using the Air Bander.
• Notify forklift operator when cart needs to be emptied.
• Use the banding machine to prepare pipes for shipment and storage.
• Ensure the machine is off and unplugged from the electrical outlet before loading a new coil of banding/strapping material onto the machine.
• Remove the cover lid on the unwinder part of the machine.
• Lift new coil of banding/strapping material and place it onto the unwinder.
• Cut banding loose from the coil and insert end of the new strapping material into the feeder.
• Turn on the machine and adjust settings.
• The machine cuts bands automatically to length and the cut band falls into a rack on the floor.
• Pick up cut bands from rack on floor and place them on the work bench nearby.
• Install crimping clamp onto each cut piece to form the circular band ready for use; and place the finished band onto the storage rack.
• Wash used forming and sizing rolls and put into appropriate storage bin when changing out rolls between changes in rolls.
• May be required to operate a forklift.

We have a competitive starting pay of $22.00 to $26.50/hour with a full benefits package.
