This position requires attention to detail and reliability, with welding experience preferred. The role involves reading work orders, pulling materials for crews and customers, loading and securing loads, receiving and inspecting deliveries, and maintaining yard organization.

Qualifications

• 1 year – 6+ months welding experience.
• 1–2+ years material handling experience.
• 1–2+ years warehouse/hardware experience.
• 1–2+ years forklift operation experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders or instructions to determine material needs.
• Pull products for fence crews, trucks, or customers.
• Load trucks and secure items with braces, padding, or straps.
• Receive, inspect, and unload incoming material from deliveries.
• Stack materials on pallets and transport to designated areas.
• Record units moved using production sheets or tickets.
• Perform routine vehicle or equipment maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, refueling).
• Carry tools from storage or trucks and return them after use.
• Keep yard clean, hazard-free, and organized.
• Assist with cutting, welding, and fabrication as needed.
• May drive delivery trucks as needed.

We are looking for a Material Handler II that not only wants to have a job but to have a long term career. Pay is $24.00 to $26.00 per hour depending on experience. This position is responsible for moving and maintaining fencing materials/products in the storage yard and assist with the distribution of these materials. Successful candidates must be detail oriented and reliable. Welding experience is a preferred.

Overview of duties:

• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
• Pull products or materials needed for fence crews, transport trucks, or customers.
• Load crew trucks, transport trucks, or customer vehicles and install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
• Receive incoming product and material from truck deliveries, inspect delivery for damage and accuracy, unload truck with forklift and safely transport to appropriate storage.
• Stack product or materials on pallets and transport to designated areas.
• Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles or auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing liquefied-gas tank.
• Carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.
• Keep yard clean, free from hazards, and organized.
• Contact vendor for emptying trash bins on site.
• Assists with cutting of pipe, welding, and fabrication of gates, ornamental iron, or customer orders as needed.
• May drive delivery trucks as needed.

Experience Required:

• 1 year - 6 plus months of experience in welding
• 1-2 plus years of experience in material handling
• 1-2 plus years of experience in warehouse/lumber year/hardware
• 1-2 plus years of experience in forklift operations
• Must be at least 21 years old

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen. Needs to have valid driver's license and good driving record.
