Job summary

Snowline Engineering, a precision CNC machining company just outside Sacramento, seeks a Manufacturing Shop Manager in Cameron Park, CA. You will own daily production flow, sequencing jobs across VMC, HMC, multi-axis, and lathe departments, ensuring on-time delivery while on the floor.

This role requires 5+ years leading CNC manufacturing, deep ERP/MRP experience, and the ability to read GD&T. We offer competitive pay, strong benefits, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supervising or managing a CNC machining floor, aerospace/defense/medical preferred.
• Fluent in shop-floor reality: setup vs run time, fixturing constraints, tool availability.
• Direct experience with ERP/MRP production data (JobBoss, E2, Epicor or equivalent).
• Able to read prints and GD&T well enough to challenge a routing, not necessarily to program.
• Track record building people, not just assigning them. We promote from within.
• AS9100 environment experience is a strong plus.

Hours: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm

About the role

Snowline is a precision CNC machining company serving aerospace, defense, and high-reliability customers. We’ve grown from 45 to 115 people in two years, across two buildings and 37 machines.

The Shop Manager owns daily production flow: what runs, in what order, on which machine, with which people. This is a floor job, not a desk job. You will be the person who knows where every job stands without looking it up.

What you’ll own

What you won’t own

Quality system ownership, NCR disposition, and compliance audit response sit with our quality organization. You’ll work with them daily and you’re accountable for adherence on your floor — but this role is scoped to production flow, deliberately, so the person in it can stay on the floor.
