Job summary

Workforce Recruiter represents a Fortune 500 global leader in designing and manufacturing advanced electronic instruments and electromechanical devices. The Business Segment Controller will serve as the site finance lead for the NY manufacturing unit, partnering with the division VP to manage reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting.

This hands-on leadership role focuses on manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, and working capital optimization, with strong emphasis

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA or Master’s degree preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive manufacturing accounting and finance experience.
• 3-5 years of leadership or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, US GAAP, ASC 606, and SOX 404.
• Product cost accounting, inventory management, and working capital optimization.
• Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Oracle, HFM, and Power BI preferred.
• Public company and M&A experience preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Budgets & forecasts, analyzing revenue, profitability, expenses, and working capital.
• Monitor KPIs, improve productivity, reduce costs, and support product development.
• Oversee product costing, inventory valuation, physical counts, and excess and obsolete inventory reserves.
• Drive working capital improvements across accounts receivable, inventory, accounts payable, and other operating accounts.
• Evaluate capital expenditures & prepare financial analyses, inc: NPV calculations.
• Compliance with US GAAP, SOX requirements, internal controls, & company policies.
• Support internal and external audits and divisional reporting requirements.
