Modern Machining Solutions Inc is seeking a hands-on Business Segment Controller to lead site finance, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance for the manufacturing unit in Mineola, NY.

Reporting to the Division VP of Finance, you will manage month-end close, product costing, working capital, and internal controls while partnering with operations to drive KPIs, cost reductions, and profitability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive manufacturing accounting and finance experience.
• 3-5 years of leadership or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, US GAAP, ASC 606, and SOX 404.
• Product cost accounting, inventory management, and working capital optimization.
• Public company and M&A experience preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Budgets & forecasts, analyzing revenue, profitability, expenses, and working capital.
• Monitor KPIs, improve productivity, reduce costs, and support product development.
• Oversee product costing, inventory valuation, physical counts, and excess and obsolete inventory reserves.
• Drive working capital improvements across accounts receivable, inventory, accounts payable, and other operating accounts.
• Evaluate capital expenditures & prepare financial analyses, inc: NPV calculations.
• Compliance with US GAAP, SOX requirements, internal controls, & company policies.
• Support internal and external audits and divisional reporting requirements.
