Job summary

KingRecruitingServices is seeking a Business Segment Controller for a Fortune 500 manufacturing leader in Mineola, NY. This site-finance lead will partner with the business unit manager to drive financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control initiatives.

The role emphasizes manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, and working capital optimization, with a strong focus on leadership and strategic analysis for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive manufacturing accounting and finance experience.
• 3-5 years of leadership or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, and SOX.
• Product cost accounting, inventory management, and working capital optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and month-end close.
• Develop budgets and forecasts; analyze revenue, profitability and expenses.
• Monitor KPIs, improve productivity, and support product development.
• Oversee product costing, inventory valuation, and physical counts.
• Drive working capital improvements across receivables, inventory and payables.
• Evaluate capital expenditures and prepare financial analyses (NPV).
• Ensure US GAAP, SOX compliance, internal controls, and audits support.
