Job summary

Utility Solutions, Inc. in Hickory, NC is seeking a Safety & Training Coordinator to administer and improve workplace safety and training programs across manufacturing operations.

The role partners with Human Resources and Operations to standardize training records, ensure OSHA compliance, maintain safety documentation, and promote a proactive safety culture. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.

Qualifications

• Experience administering workplace safety programs.
• Experience conducting safety inspections and compliance audits.
• Forklift trainer or evaluator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer the company's workplace safety program and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate and administer the company's monthly safety training program.
• Assign, track, and document required employee safety training.
• Maintain safety training records, compliance checklists, certifications, and acknowledgments.
• Review and update safety training materials to OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Prepare reports identifying overdue training, certifications, and overall compliance status.
• Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization.
• Coordinate forklift operator training, evaluations, and certification documentation.
• Coordinate workplace injury, near-miss, and incident investigations.
• Maintain OSHA logs and assist with regulatory compliance activities.
