Job summary

Treplar is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support the Safety Manager across manufacturing and warehouse operations. This hands-on role performs inspections, helps with equipment and task risk assessments, and tracks corrective actions to completion on the floor.

You will collaborate with operations, logistics, and training teams to ensure compliance, PPE, and safe work practices, including bilingual English/Spanish communication when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in occupational safety, industrial technology, or related field preferred.
• OSHA 10/30-hour training or equivalent safety education a plus.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing or industrial safety experience preferred.
• Experience identifying equipment hazards in an active plant is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine safety audits across extrusion, padding, and warehouse areas with documentation.
• Assist with job hazard analyses and machine risk assessments.
• Check machine guarding, interlocks, and emergency stops; escalate issues as needed.
• Assess ladders, elevated work areas, guardrails, and fall-protection needs.
• Identify unsafe electrical or fire/safety conditions and blocked exits.
• Inspect forklift routes and pedestrian safety, report unsafe behavior.
• Identify slip/trip hazards, leaks, PPE gaps, and unsafe storage.
• Maintain audit logs, action trackers, and verify corrective actions.
• Assist in documenting incidents and near-misses for safety review.
