Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Safety Coordinator to drive behavioral safety/BAPP and compliance at the plant, collaborating with associates and management to meet safety goals. You'll model core values while ensuring safe, quality food production in line with SQF 2000 standards and company policies.

You will lead safety data collection, run committees, coordinate JSAs, train staff, and support internal audits. Occasional travel may be required to support corporate safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing environment with safety focus.
• Experience as BAPP Coach or safety team member is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead behavioral safety and BAPP processes consistently.
• Enter/retrieve data and track observer progress using RINCON.
• Facilitate Safety Committee and BAPP steering meetings.
• Enter work requests in EMPAC and update safety work orders weekly.
• Present data in plant-wide and department meetings.
• Prepare safety data for diary notes and audits.
• Assist in accident investigations and JSAs coordination.
• Schedule Safety and Observer training for new hires.
• Support SQF 2000 system development and audits.
