Job summary

FM is expanding FM Essential and seeks an AE I to Senior AE to join a growing team in the Boston area, with site options at South Station or Norwood. The role focuses on risk engineering, communication with clients and brokers, and collaboration with underwriters to build a resilient client portfolio.

Ideal candidates bring a bachelor’s in engineering, 4+ years as a field engineer or equivalent, strong communication, analytical ability and willingness to travel about 30% for site visits,

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience running meetings with client executive management.
• Analytical, judgement, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel regularly to client sites and broker meetings (approx. 30%).
• Demonstrated history of ownership, initiative and collaboration to achieve timely results.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, quantify and communicate risk information to FM, clients and brokers.
• Develop risk-improvement measures that reduce loss frequency and severity.
• Collaborate with underwriters on renewals and prospects to grow a profitable portfolio.
• Communicate change effectively with clients, brokers, engineers and underwriters.
• Manage engineering relationships and demonstrate FM's value-added services.
